THE FIRST DIVE / ORIGINAL STRATEGY NOTES
Build a better
answer habit.
Think of a valid answer, then look beyond your first association. These seven checks are ZowGame’s practical approach to the timed daily run, not a tested guarantee of 100-point answers.
Our decision routine is editorial advice, not a guaranteed 100-point route.
- 01
Read the category before searching your memory.
When the prompt appears, identify its subject and qualifiers: a place, person, title or type of thing. Keep those boundaries in mind during the 25-second window.
- 02
Keep one clearly valid answer in reserve.
Notice your first confident answer. It gives you a fallback if a less familiar candidate does not come to mind before time runs out.
- 03
Search one smaller corner of the category.
Think through a subcategory you actually know: another period, region, genre or branch of the topic. A focused memory search is easier to finish than guessing at random.
- 04
Check the candidate against every qualifier.
Ask whether it really belongs in this category, rather than merely being related. If you cannot confidently explain the fit, use your valid fallback instead.
- 05
Avoid the obvious ‘obscure’ pick.
An answer widely remembered for being unusual may still be familiar. Compare your candidate with your first association, but do not assume an unfamiliar name must receive a high tier.
- 06
Leave time to spell and submit.
Use the answer’s clear name and check what you typed. Autocorrect can match an alias unexpectedly, so do not spend the entire timer searching for a more exotic answer.
- 07
Review the matched answer after the run.
Compare the displayed match with your intended answer and note which categories felt difficult. Practise those topics in another mode if available; the daily run is not a repeatable score test.
SCORING / THE ORIGINAL GAME
Read the tier.
Then the depth.
Some answer sets use familiarity data; others use assisted curation and manual review. The designated 100-point pick also reflects the creator’s judgement.
An unrecognised answer or an unanswered prompt earns no points. Tiers reflect the original game, checked 2026-10-12.
PRACTICE / AFTER THE ROUND
Keep what
you learned.
Use your result to plan the next attempt. A useful review tells you what to change, not just what you scored.
- 01
Use knowledge you can name.
A niche you know well offers better candidates than a topic where you only recognise fragments of names.
- 02
Switch associations once.
After the obvious example, try one distinct subcategory. Repeatedly changing direction can consume the short timer without producing a usable answer.
- 03
Treat the score as assigned feedback.
A low tier does not establish that everyone submitted your answer today. Use it to learn the curated scoring pattern, not to infer a live popularity count.
- 04
Separate practice from today’s attempt.
Check Unlimited, packs or the archive for additional play and their access conditions. Do not assume the daily run can be restarted for another official score.
03 / THE DEPTH DESK
Seven answers.
One depth.
Choose the tier shown for each of your seven answers. See how one stronger pick changes your total.
A calculator for your results. It does not judge an answer or submit a score to Krillion.
0 / 700 points
1 point = 10 metres · Seven 100-point answers = 7,000 metres.
